Why do people love John Deere zero-turn mowers?

Mower Deck options

Each yard is different and has its own unique set of demands for a satisfying cut. That is why our zero-turn mowers have 3 mower deck options so you can pick the one that best fits your terrain. They come in a range of sizes from 42 to 60 inches.

The first option is the Accel Deep mower deck available on the Z300 and Z500 mowers. The Accel Deep mower deck is constructed from stamped steel and has a deep, flat-top design that delivers excellent cut quality as well as durability and cleanliness. The deep mower deck stamping also reduces recutting by allowing material to smoothly exit the deck.

For those who want a more premium finish, there is the High-Capacity deck available on select Z500 models. The High-Capacity deck also has a deep-deck design but is constructed from heavy-duty 9-gauge steel that delivers optimal airflow so large volumes of material can be processed quickly and efficiently. The wider and higher discharge opening provides even clipping dispersal for a nice finished appearance in all conditions.

Last but certainly not least, there are the High-Capacity PRO decks exclusively available on the Z700 mowers. These decks have everything you love about the High-Capacity decks but are reimagined with commercial-grade reinforcements to tackle larger heavy-duty residential properties.

Another reason these mowers appeal to many is that they are fast. Thanks to the powerful dual and HydroGear transmissions, these mowers can reach speeds up to 7-10 mph. That means you can spend less time working on your yard and more time enjoying it.

Comfortable Ride

Each mower has a roomy and comfortable operator's station that will make your ride more enjoyable. There is a comfortable seat with adjustable armrests along with two coil suspension swings that absorb shock when going over rough terrain. Select models also have a larger foot platform along with adjustable seat positioning and suspension so you can make your station your own. The Z500 and Z700 also offer fore/aft ComfortGlide suspension for added comfort.

Achieving a satisfying cut for your property doesn't have to be a hassle no matter how difficult the conditions when you have John Deere zero-turn.
