Outside Sales Representative – Southeast Harris County

Looking for an outside salesperson to generate leads, building existing relationships and growing dealership sales through face-to-face interactions within Southeast Harris County.  You will need to be able to travel to meet with current customers, identify potential customers, present equipment solutions and provide ongoing support.  This role requires strong communication, organizational, and management skills.

 

Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue potential customers through various methods, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing ongoing support.
  • Sales:  Ability to identify equipment needs of current and prospective customers and highlighting equipment features and benefits.
  • Cross Department Marketing:  Market parts and service sales such as extended warranties, maintenance plans, machine inspections, overhauls, standard job quotes, and special parts promotions.
  • Closing Deals: Negotiate contracts, finalize sales, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Territory Management: Manage a specific geographic area, often requiring extensive travel.
  • Sales Reporting: Follows a defined sales process, track sales activities, report on progress, and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Growing Knowledge:  Stay informed on the latest industry developments by attending team meetings and training workshops.  Monitors competitive activity/products and communicates with management.  Maintain product knowledge on products and services offered by Shoppa’s.

 

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven track record of outside sales experience preferred.
  • Computer literate and is familiar with CRM software.
  • Strong negotiating, planning, and consultative sales skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers
  • Detail-oriented and has good time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Equipment knowledge is not required so long as you have the ability to learn and maintain product knowledge.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, not required.
