The 3-in-1 machine: The BiG Pack 870 HDP (XC) MultiBale HighSpeed enables you to respond with maximum flexibility to your customers’ wants and needs. Because this baler not only produces standard bales but transport- friendly heavier HDP bales and practical MultiBales as well. The MultiBale is the new HD bale that enables you to achieve much higher throughputs with a comparable end product.
The right size for field and yard every time: An unbeatable feature of the BiG Pack 870 HDP (XC) MultiBale HighSpeed is the great flexibility it offers. Because this baler comes with KRONE’s unique patented MultiBale system. Up to 9 small individual bales can be tied together in one big bale. This makes them much easier to handle in the field, with up to 20 times fewer bales to collect and load compared with HD bales.
From big to small: The advantages are obvious: there are only a few big bales to collect in the fi eld, and their size makes them very easy to stack, transport and store. Back in the yard, the small packs are easy to separate by hand simply by snipping through three strings.
Tailor-made for container shipping: With optionally available distance sheets the width of the baling chamber can be reduced by 3 cm (1.2") for a perfect fit for the most common sea containers, even with bales containing different crops.
Small chamber size – professional technology: In the BiG Pack 870 HDP MultiBale HighSpeed, KRONE’s engineers have managed to pack the technology of the higher end BiG Pack series into a slimline design with a chamber measuring 80 cm (2'7.5") wide x 70 cm (2'4") high, ensuring a long lifespan and optimum reliability.
HDP functionality for high throughputs and efficiency: If very high densities are required, the baling pressure can be increased up to the familiar HDP level via the control box. So the BiG Pack 870 HDP MultiBale can achieve densities of up to 25 % more than standard balers. This means fewer bales to collect in the field and lower volumes to transport and store – and you’ll be using less twine and wrap as well.
Patented double knotter: Five double knotters tie the bales together securely. The knotters are arranged in KRONE’s patented slimline HDP II design. Only double knotting technology allows for a combination of high bale densities and high dependability in operation
High inertia for high densities: With its sturdy drive train and large 450 kg (992 lbs) flywheel, the BiG Pack 870 HDP (XC) MultiBale can produce the same bale densities as the BiG Pack 1290 HDP – up to 25 % higher than those of conventional big balers. The large flywheel not only keeps the system running quietly but also cuts fuel consumption.
In the flow: The BiG Pack 870 HDP (XC) MultiBale is fitted with a 1.95 m (6'5") wide Active Pick-up. This camless EasyFlow Pick-up with powered feed roller produces an excellent crop flow even in dry, short material. A 2.35 m (7'8.5") wide Active Pick-up is also available as an option.
