Features

Standard Features on Rigid Tool Bars

  • All frames are constructed from A 500 Grade B. This heavy wall tube takes a load without bending or breaking. Tube size varies from 4x4x1/4” wall, 4x4x3/8” wall, 4x7x3/8” wall and even 5x7x1/2” wall, 7x7x3/8” and 1/2” wall on single bars.
  • Design feature with upper mast turned on the diamond increases structural strength by 33%.
  • One-piece stringer plates (braces) are cut from 5/8” solid plate steel.
  • All joints are securely welded using pulse arc technology to minimize cracks near welds.
  • We will custom build any type of tool bar to your specification.

Superbar II Tool Bars (Triple Bar & Double Bar) are constructed with a diamond mast, which distributes load and stress between lower tubes and stiffens the bar. For bars subjected to unusual load or stress, heavy duty options are available in both the triple and double bar designs. On the heavy duty tool bars, 4 x 4 x 3/8” tube is substituted for 1/4” tube on all lower bars for extra strength. Strap steel is formed to give a 360 degree weld around lower bars.

All-purposed triple bars are spaced for a variety of functions: Cultivators or planters, ripper plows, chisel plows and many others.

Rigid Tool Bar Literature

 Standard Features on Vertical Fold Tool Bars

  • 4 x 48″ Hydraulic cylinder provides capacity to lift any wing load with reduced operating pressure. Wings fold up and cylinder locks into closed position for positive transport.
  • Diamond mast design is enhanced by one piece stringer plates (braces) cut from solid 5/8″ plate. This design also centers cylinder and lifting lug between the bars of the wing. All tool bars are welded using pulse arc technology to minimize cracks near welds.
  • Heavy duty in-line hinge incorporates 14 hinge ears per side on the double bar frame. (21 per side on triple bar frames.) Ears are cut from 1″ plate. Hinge pins are a full 1-7/16″ in diameter.
  • Heavy duty hinge with 2” hinge pin sets hinge above the tool bar and allows a degree of fold over center.

Standard Features on Over Fold Tool Bars

  • 4 x 48″ Hydraulic cylinder provides capacity to lift any wing load with reduced operating pressure. Wings fold up and wings rest on stands for positive transport.
  • Diamond mast design is enhanced by one piece stringer plates (braces) cut from solid 5/8″ plate. This design also centers cylinder and lifting lug between the bars of the wing. All tool bars are welded using pulse arc technology to minimize cracks near welds.
  • Heavy duty hinge with 2” hinge pin sets hinge above the tool bar and allows the wings to fold over center, and bronze bushings for long life.
  • Wings adjust downward from five to fifteen degrees to conform to soil surface.

Standard Features on Stack Fold Tool Bars

• Outboard wing brace adds stability to the upper structure during transport. Brace is also a key component to achieve minimum (Low Profile) transport height.

• All pivot pins are 2” diameter and equipped with greasable bronze bushings for long life in the field.

• Patented Stack Lock® transport lock joint keeps upper wing structures stable during transport.

• Pivot lugs and other parts subjected to load and wear are cut from Formalloy 400 plate.

• Reduced weight and less need for lift-assist wheels
